So it’s 12 years today I started my Art In Wax blogging, and today I’m starting over, the website and the blog are still work in progress but here we go again …..


A little bit about me …… 

Hazel Rayfield – Miniature Art In Wax

I’m an original artist.
I live and work in Southend-On-Sea 

I am passionate about painting in miniature. 

I paint in Encaustic wax using specialist heat tools and branded encaustic wax paints.

I know many people haven’t seen Encaustic art (hot wax painting ) before, although it’s been around a long time !! And is an ancient art form dating back to Egyptian times. 

I sell my art worldwide. I am very proud to have them reside in miniature collections and collectible Dollhouse worldwide with pieces of my art now in 24 countries on 4 continents…… as far as I know !   “yes I have to pinch myself” 



My miniature art is intended for dolls house collectors and are not suitable for children. These are just a few pieces to make this post look pretty lol. More are in my new gallery page.
