Its a Trifle !!!

How fun is this …..

Did you watch the Queen’s platinum jubilee pudding competition on the BBC sponsored by Fortnum and Mason, judges including Dame Mary Berry …..

The winner was a lemon Swiss roll and amaretti trifle by Jemma Melvin.

A fabulous winning pudding, I love trifle and will be making this one as well as painting them of course.

Miniature Jubilee Pudding Art

I was thrilled when one of my miniature dolls house miniature art collectors asked me to paint her a picture of the winner, she messaged with me before hand, so we were both on tenterhooks to see who would win and what I would be painting for her.

I painted these three and she chose the one on the gold background, which I have now framed for her.

I showed the painting online in my Instagram feed and today Jemma found the post commented and shared to her story …… how fun is that  🥰 seeing her wonderful creation painted in miniature.

London – Royal – Celebration

Queen Elizabeth II is celebrating 70 years of her reign in this country, the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee.

A Phenomenal Response

I have had a phenomenal response to my new Miniature Queens Jubilee theme painting so I decided to update my blog with this follow up post.

I want to say a thank you to everyone for supporting my miniature art, it is my business as well as my passion.

And on this project especially Thank you  to my collectors Sarah for lots of great ideas and to Jackie for inspiration, both of your enthusiasm for this Royal Celebration and the Platinum Jubilee event and your love and appreciation of my miniature art has been a great encouragement for this very special and unique theme.

The Paintings …… so far !

Most of the paintings shown below are sold, there are a couple of new pieces added to my Etsy shop and of course I’m open to requests and commissions.

The Guards, The Beefeaters, Teddy Bears, Crowns of course, flags and bunting.

The street party food, the royal icing on the Victoria Sponge cake, afternoon tea and one of the Queens favourite Battenburg…. All great fun.

The plaque style posters with printed words, sealed in wax then painted over are some of my favourites plus of course the lady in blue walking home with her red umbrella after the Jubilee party (Sarah’s request )
