A Day Sailing

We live in Southend on Sea, on the South East Coast of England, home to the longest pleasure pier in the world, so when I was ponding what to paint I decided to take my inspiration from right here.

This painting is approximately 20 x 24 cm the foreground sailing boats are colourful and the beach a golden yellow, for those of you that know Southend you will know I have used my artist eye when painting this impressionist view! which also has a glimpse of the pier in the background.
