I decided it was time to revisit my Etsy banner, after all this is the shop sign to my online store. I like to keep the overall look in keeping with my branding naturally but the new blue background and update on the paintings brings a feel of the winter season.

It has been a great last quarter for my Art In Wax miniatures and many commissions too, my billboard mixed media pieces are proving especially popular for miniature ice cream parlour, some local but many going to the US.

This week I have been  painting winter landscapes, it’s turned colder here this week, so maybe I’ve been subliminally inspired !

Not all pictures make it onto Etsy ! I often show my paintings and some times work in progress pictures on Facebook and then they don’t always make it to Etsy, as the paintings are sold direct via Facebook and social media.

Just a very quick post today as I have been very busy with painting and not had a lot of time for blogging, but I wanted to show my latest pieces of Art In Wax ….

These new paintings are all in a pretty soft and colorful style and each features a pretty cottage in the landscape.

They are proving very popular and this month several have gone to new homes for dolls houses and miniature collectors both here in the UK and overseas. In fact of the five paintings shown here currently the only one still available is the one in the black frame …. but never fear there will be more of these ….

Winter Valley Landscape

New seasonal painting

This winter scene is an A5 painting mounted in a 12 x 10 inch cream mount. It is for sale at the time of this blog post – £35 including UK postage. Contact me to arrange to buy.

I have temporarily framed it in a plain white frame to show how it can maybe be displayed, the frame has no glass, I personally think my Art In Wax looks great without glass as the sheen of the wax paints can be seen much more displayed this way

The frame is NOT for sale. The painting comes mounted in a quality cream mount with backing board attached. This painting would make a great Christmas gift for someone who likes unusual unique things.

Original Art Makes a great gift

From feedback I get from my Art I know that it often given as a gift, many people come back for more after they buy a piece of my art. I have got to know some of my collectors over the years and they tell me that my work of often a talking point as people haven’t heard of Encaustic Art or hot wax painting and are interested to know more.

Likewise I am told they make great gifts, again as they can be a talking point and that they are often something the gift receiver likes as it is unique and original.

Lots of New Paintings

I have added lots of new paintings, including some seasonal Christmas trees which were very popular last year and I know are now in both Christmas themed houses and properties and even some were given as gifts to dolls house owners.

There are also new hand tied flower bouquets, a sweet pea and rose one are now listed, if you would like a different flower bunch in this style just let me know and I can paint one especially for you….

I have painted some landscapes, the secret garden and the Lady April ones are both 2 x 2 inches square and an impressionist feel with a softness but colourful styling.

The shop still has some poppies and some screens which are very popular, used in both period and modern houses these type of room dividers are one of my best sellers ……
