The Designer Collection – Fashion Miniature Art
These new paintings are brand new, I painted them in June (2020), one of my favourite subjects to paint, dresses !!!
“Designer Collection” – Fashion Miniature Paintings
Their is a selection of styles and I’ll list how I see them and the sizes etc below.
However with all things artistic I believe that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We all see different things in a painting and of course the setting makes all the different too.
These pieces could be thought of for a dolls house or miniature property such as a shop, boutique or haberdashery store. In a dollhouse maybe in a ladies boudoir or a sewing room ……
What do you think ? Why not leave me a comment and let me know.
Red Dress / Black Dress Set of Two Paintings
Size : 2 x 1 1/4 inches each. Glamour is the style I was going for, these dresses on mannequin could be ball gowns or prom dresses, or even “the bride wore black (or red).
The 50’s …… this piece with two dresses is 2 inches square more or less ! I like hats and I thought these dresses would have hats to compliment the look, a wide brimmed one and a pillbox with a veil.
Red Green Blue ….. three very stunning sophisticated dresses, this painting is 2 1/4 by 1 1/2 inches in size. They could be period or modern day, ball gown or lady of a different age.
Designer dresses …… and some designer wallpaper, it took nearly as long to get the background of this piece right as it did to paint the dresses. Lots of detail in this piece which is the largest piece in this collection at 2 1/2 inches by 2 1/4 inches.
Lilac and Lavender….. this set of two paintings are the smallest in the collection at a tiny 1 inch wide each. They are 1 1/2 inches high.
The Corsets ….. the red corset on the mannequin is 2 3/4 by 1 1/2 inches and the black one is slightly larger at 3 by 1 1/2 inches. These panel style pieces are always very popular with my collectors so I wanted to include some in this new collection.
I hope you like them …… and these miniature paintings are for sale.

Diamond Jubilee :: Posted by: Hazel on May 5th, 2012
The Queens Diamond Jubilee
60 years 1952 to 2012
This year sees the celebrations in the UK of the Queens Diamond Jubilee, 60 years of reign in this country.
There are lots of events and celebrations going on for the Jubilee – I’m not painting any union jacks in wax! but many of my Lady paintings have a Royal air to them. The “Lady Day” paintings featured as a collection of artwork earlier this year on Art In Wax, they have now been archived and can still be viewed online in the “Lady Day Exhibit“.
Lady Beatrice : Lady Scarlet : Lady Adele : Lady Elizabeth
The Lady Day paintings from the exhibit are all A4 in size and some are now for sale online, Lady Dawn and Lady Gabrielle are spoken for as they reside mounted and framed in my own entrance hall. Lady Elizabeth and Lady Beatrice are in my folksy shop for sale and several other paintings of Ladies in smaller sizes, including A5 Lady Scarlet (in pink) and Lady Adele (in her striking blue outfit and flowing brown hair) above are available via the Art In Wax Shop.
If you would like another of the Lady’s not yet in a store, why not contact me for more details and find out what we can arrange for you to own a special Lady!
