Painting A Dollhouse Miniature Street Landscape
Window Shopping
Today I thought I would paint a street scene, I have painted this type of pictures in the past and I do love the challeng.
As I was painting this piece seemed to evolve and I’m calling it “Window Shopping” the lady is out walking her dog and looking at the dresses in the boutique windows.
It’s set in Spring and the blossom is in the tree and the window boxes are trailing pretty flowers.
On Display in The Gallery
The finished piece is shown here on display in my miniature 1:12th Art Gallery. It is 1 5/8th by 2 3/4 inches in size, painted on semi sheen card in encaustic wax paint.
I took some photographs as I started and then got a little carried away so the progress jumps a bit, but I hope you can see how it was painted.
