Miniature Paintings Celebrating VE Day
These are my new paintings, there are three pieces with a theme, miniature dollhouse art, shown here in my 1:12th Art Gallery, inspired by the VE Day celebrations of VE 75 here in England in 2020. Victory in Europe (VE) Day on 8 May 1945 is the day celebrating the end of World War II.
“Fly By Poppies”
Displayed and sold in a gold effect frame the overall size being 2 1/4 by 2 3/4 inches this landscape has aircraft flying over a poppy field.
“Wave”
Vintage clothed people standing in a poppy field, waving and waving flags as a plane flys over head, the size of this piece is 2 1/8 by 1 5/8th inches.
“Street Party”
A misty impression of a back drop with Big Ben in the distance gives this piece a sense of the day, Londoners having a party in the street dressed in vintage clothes, they could be of the time or more modern times dressed for a vintage fashion party, you decide. This piece 3 1/2 by 2 1/2 inches so a statement size piece for a dollhouse, I have sold many paintings this size for 1:12th or larger Scale dolls houses plus it is ACEO size so could be a nice addition for a collection.
Brand new collection VE Day Inspired
