Tree of Life …… Moon Gazing Hare
How I came to paint Moon Gazing Hares
Recently one of my miniature art collectors , a lovely Lady named Sarah, mentioned to me about painting a “Moon Gazing Hare” I didn’t know of this phrase specifically, I have seen many hare in the moonlight style paintings, so I did some research and found a “meaning” that says they can represent “New Beginnings” and “Good Fortune” in come cultural beliefs.
This lead me to think about my own “Tree of Life” paintings. These are always very popular, although I don’t paint them often.
All my art has a “piece of me” in them, and for me my art is all about how it flows, from my imagination to the painting I am creating ….. yes OK ! “flow” a little pun I know as I paint in molten wax 😉
I digress …..Well, according to Google “Tree of Life” symbolism, among other things can represent “Uniqueness” and “Individual Beauty”.
So I thought wow, what better combination……
“New Beginnings” :: “Good Fortune” :: “Uniqueness” :: “Individual Beauty”
These are the results, what I had in my imagination …….
So what do you think ? …… did it flow ?

My “Tree of Life” painting series originally in 2014 was ……
Inspired by this thought I had ……. And we updated it 6 years later.
“We are all branches in our own trees,
some entwine more than others,
some have lots of branches off them,
and others are more single
but they are all connected
and have the same root structure …… Family”

“And when all our trees come together as a forest
we can weather any storm ……. “
