Art Commissions

Miniature Art For Your Dollhouse

These are some of my recent commissioned miniature dolls house art paintings.

Commission art generally can be a challenge,  and over the past couple of months these challenges put to me by some of my collectors has been great fun and has really stretched me.

So ……. this blog post shows some of my recent commission pieces. All painted in my Encaustic wax paint of course.

Here we have a very diverse mix of themes and subjects. Which are going into dollhouses and miniature properties both here in England and around the world. These pieces are in fact going to several collectors on three different continents. How cool is that !!!!!

As you can see below …..

We have a collection of three dolly paintings.

These are in the style of vintage boudoir dolls and framed in antique style frames. This is my most recent commission project, a lovely collector whom has many of my miniature paintings, asked me to paint these beautiful dolls for her miniature dollhouse. I painted the backgrounds in gold and bronze wax paint to give a vintage feel and the frames adds to the overall classic look.

These Dolly’s which all have names by the way,  was one of my most fun and challenging of projects To date. They are Dolly Sophia in pink, Dolly Bluebell in Blue and cutie Dolly Claire in yellow.

The Gentlemans Department

The top hat and other paintings shown in my 1:12th scale Art Gallery above were painted for a collector in Wales for her haberdashery store which has a Gentleman’s department on the first floor.

The French Connection !

Then we have a set of four paintings commissioned of the french city Saint-Malo in Brittany, the lady sent me photographs and I painted my impressions of the beautiful port city.

Iconic USA

The paintings of the New York sky lines below show one including the State of Liberty were commissions by a lady in England to go into her Hotel (Dolls House size) in her themed suite.

Michelle has many of my paintings in her hotel with had rooms in various themes. And it a very substantial miniature property.

The paintings of the Washington Monument and the Martin Luthier King Junior memorial which are very tiny indeed, are now in a dollhouse state side.

Beautiful Lady

This beautiful African Lady painting has also gone to America which was commissioned by a collector of African style art, both large and in miniature.

This is one of my favourite paintings….. I have lots of favourites ….. but with this piece, the paint flowed and she came to life, I just loved painting her
