Dolls House and Miniature Scene Magazine Features Art In Wax
Dolls House and Miniature Scene Magazine
Last year Lucie Roper the editor Dolls House and Miniature Scene Magazine contacted me to ask if I would be interesting in featuring in the magazine to show some of my miniature original artwork …… and the June issue arrived this morning, with the Art In Wax miniature Art Gallery on the front cover no less.
The June issue : Dolls House and Miniature Scene
There are some wonderful articles and projects in this issue and it is very exciting to see “Art In Wax” in print!

The Gallery
My husband Adrian built me The Gallery, he has created a beautiful space to display and show my art in wax miniatures, you can see more pictures of our 1:12 scale miniature scene in the blog post I did when it had its Grand Opening in September 2013 : www.artinwax.co.uk/blog/grand-opening-the-gallery/.
Win some Art In Wax Miniatures
The magazine also has a competition to win some pieces of miniature Art In Wax with details in the magazine.
If you would like to own an original miniature piece of my art I have an online Miniatures Art Shop here on the Art in Wax website and I also take on commissions in the style of my work.

Flame Haired Jewellery Designs :: Posted by: Hazel on February 11th, 2014
Original design handmade jewellery By Flame Haired Jewellery Designs
I thought it might be fun to do a blog post to showcase an artisan friend of mine.
I met Hazel Brant via the UK “Modern British Crafts” arts and crafts shopping outlet Folksy.
Hazel and I don’t just share the same name but also a passion for art and beautiful things.
Hazel is a jewellery designer with a unique style, creating beautiful pieces of original design handmade jewellery, from Charm bracelets and necklaces to earrings and bag charms each piece is handmade and many pieces co-ordinate to make lovely sets.
Her shop is called : Flame Haired Jewellery Designs
These are direct quotes from her shop profile ……..
I love to make jewellery, using mostly crystal glass and semi-precious stones. I have varied tastes, resulting in a diversity of designs.
I am inspired by nature, and also love Gothic and quirky styles, so you never know what you might find!.
I love doing commissions, and would be more than happy to make a bespoke item to your style and colour of choice from my huge collection of beads and findings.
I own several pieces of Flame haired jewellery and have also given them as gifts, they are beautiful pieces, I even had a commission made in a bee theme, which you can see at the top of this post – well it had to be really as my passion is for painting in beeswax ……..
These are just a few of the pieces currently in store
The examples show a very small selection of the varied pieces designed by Hazel, from the Copper Hematite Flower Charm Bracelet in a Victorian elegance of steampunk style, to the Valentine Heart and Peach Crystal pieces and the Dragon Amethyst Bracelet and bag charm to the Unisex Wolf Head Hematite Bracelets.
