Looking again at Art In Wax
Before and After
I recently looked again at the poppy painting below and decided I wasn’t as happy with it as I had been when I painted it last year, so decided to go back into the painting and add to it …… this is something I have very rarely done in the past. But as my style and way with the wax has evolved over the past couple of years I now look at some earlier pieces of Art In Wax in a new way, my paintings now, compared to 2 years ago are much more detailed and confident I feel …….
With this in mind and the great response I got to the revised Poppy Landscape painting …. it was sold 10 minutes after posting it in my folksy store, I thought I would look today and some other pictures and see if they could be improved …. below are what I have come up with : before on the right, today’s revisions on the left …… what do you think ?

Hi Hazel, the paintings on the left are good but the improved paintings on the right are fab 🙂 Loving the texture and vibrancy which gives the paintings definition. Well done 🙂 Julie
Lovely paintings and they have really benefited from being revisited, too. The extra work you have added really makes them stand out. I was fortunate to see the poppies as soon as they were available and took the opportunity to purchase them. The texture and detail really makes them come to life!
Hazel you have really developed and improved your style tremendously over the past 2 years, your reworked paintings on the left are so much more vibrant and confident than the originals. Fab work.
Paintings on the left look richer and have more depth to them, I prefer them.
