Facebook A Great Showcase for Art In Wax
Art In Wax on Facebook
The Art In Wax Facebook page www.facebook.com/artinwax is where I show a lot of my work first nowadays, it is an ideal social media platform me. It is easy to use, allowing me to upload photos from my computer or phone, giving collectors and followers of my work an opportunity to see works in progress, and new works almost as soon as they are finished.
Facebooking about my art, especially my miniature dolls house pieces has proved to be a great way to share and sell my work online, I am a member of several groups on Facebook too and often I show pieces of art and they sell before they even reach my shops here and in Etsy. Which is great.
Connecting on Facebook
Facebook is also where a lot of my commission work comes from. And it is a great place to connect with the people interested in my paintings and art in general. I have made lots of friends (not just Facebook type friends – but real friends) via my connections on Facebook. I love to know where my art ends up and the feedback from the people I have connected with has been amazing.
These are just a very few of the Facebook comments I have had over the past couple of months.
Alison in Essex
I have brought some beautiful art and my dolls house and shop look stunning with your pictures in. I also have your bigger pictures on stands which made beautiful ornaments plus my frames when I get round to finishing them.

To day I received the commissioned painting of a winter screen pictured above, and WOW WOW WOW its beauty blew me away. I cried when I saw it it is out of this world. I’m no conocer but I know what I like.
Hazel is a master of wax art and I would have no hesitation in recommending her work to anyone.

Lilac Art for Your Home and For Your Dolls House :: Posted by: Hazel on June 9th, 2013
Original Art : For Your Home and For Your Dolls’ House
Following on from yesterdays blog post talking about painting tiny miniature paintings for a Dolls’ House commission, I had a very productive day in my studio painting in hot wax. Inspired by one of my own paintings from last year, an A4 sized vase of Lilac style flowers I decided to paint this subject again and in a variety of sizes.
A Painting For Your Home and For Your Dolls’ House
Wouldn’t it be fun if you had a painting on your wall in your home and a similar original in your Dolls’ house.
A Painting For Your Home and For Your Collection
Likewise people who collect ACEO and ATC “Art Cards, Editions and Originals” and “Artist Trading Cards” wouldn’t it be fun to have an original in your collection that you also had a similar original on your wall!
Art In Wax : Lilac
Painting in hot wax is a medium that is very versatile and yet takes a steady hand especially when working so small, I have already had many comments on my miniature paintings and will be experimenting further with this area as well as painting larger pieces.
Below you can see the original picture from last year plus created yesterday, an A5 version that I have mounted in a 10 x 12 inche cream mount, an ACEO 3.5 x 2.5 painting shown here on a mini easel and a tiny Doll’s House miniature, ready to frame at just 50mm x 40mm.
