The celebration edition of the UK Popular Crafts Magazine arrived today! and Art In Wax is featured with a double page Painting a rose in hot wax project, a Give Away and a “Most Wanted” feature too!

Double Page Spread – Project : Painting an Encaustic Rose for a card

The photographs my husband Adrian took of me painting this encaustic Rose project for the Queen’s Jubilee edition of the magazine bring the project to life and the step by step demonstration shows just how I painted this small piece of art using hot wax and heat tools that was then created into an “English Rose” of a greetings card.

It was wonderful to be asked my magazine editor Katharine Jewitt to be part of the special edition and Adrian and I have enjoyed creating this project. Roses are one of my favourite flowers to paint and feature in many of my floral paintings and of course my youtube painting in hot wax video demonstrations.

Lady Alexandra : dressed for a Royal Garden Party

One of my Lady paintings “Lady Alexandra” also featured in the magazine under the “Most Wanted” along with some other wonderful art and craft creations celebrated in this Jubilee edition, one of which is a jewel box by Miss Bohiemia whom I have the pleasure of owning one of her mirrors “Queen Bee” which I couldn’t resist as bees play a great part in my passion for painting in wax!
